Shawl Plans

I recently completed a few shawls and they are so great for the weather we have here.  They are also more fun to knit than scarves lately.
My finished Hitchhiker made with one skein of String Theory Colorworks Resonance in the Jupiter colorway.
My finished Damson made with one skein of HaldeCraft HandDyed Octavia in the Raspberry Beret colorway with an edging of the Andre base in The Dark Side.

I also began a second Hitchhiker which is still in progress out of a hand painted yarn.  I am using Madelinetosh Tosh Sock in the Mansfield's Garden Party colorway.
My recent success with shawl knitting has lead to a list of planned shawls that is growing quite rapidly.
  • The Pogona shawl by Stephen West which I have already purchased but do not yet know what yarn I will use.
  • The Herbivore shawl by Stephen West which I have already purchased and plan to use a skein of Dream in Color in a nice green.  It will be a good chance to use that yarn for the first time.
  • The Daybreak shawl by Stephen West which I have already purchased and plan to use my Yarn Club skein of Mad Tea Party and maybe a skein of Pretty in Pink both by HaldeCraft HandDyed.
  • I really like the Akimbo but have not bought it or thought about what yarn or colorways to use.
  • I would like to make the Traveling Woman shawl but have not bought the pattern or thought about yarn choices.
  • Probably the next one that I will cast on after finishing the Hitchhiker I have in progress will be the Ishbel by Ysolda Teague.  I have admired that one for quite some time and have bought the WLK book.  I am almost 100% sure I will use a skein of HaldeCraft HandDyed in Ursula which is a merino, silk, and cashmere blend.
  • I have bought the yarn I want to use for the Mara shawl which has been in my queue since about 2011 and was going to be knit in 2012, then 2013, and still has not been cast on.  So maybe in the next month or so I will get started on that.
  • I want to purchase the Stripe Study Shawl as well as the Different Lines Shawl and use stash yarn to knit those up.
  • I purchased Brickless and Magrathea and have yet to choose yarns.
  • I bought Matchmaker and will use a Zelazny skein in Afternoon Skies paired with my two skeins of Opal Van Gogh yarn.
