Win or fail

A sock win.  I finished my first annual Halloween socks a day ahead of my personal goal.  They were bound off, ends woven in and blocked by Halloween morning.

This gave me the courage or incentive I needed to face the frog pond.  Now witness a sock fail:

I started those socks back in April and the pattern was difficult to read, not poorly written or anything, just hard to see with so many chart repeats and my poor eyesight.  The yarn is more light fingering as well, so with such an in depth pattern the socks would have taken much longer than I would like to ever be complete.  I never visit the frog pond, so you know these socks were BAD to the bone if this is the result after six months in time out.  You win some, you lose some.
