I really want to read. For some reason I can't though for more than a few pages. I get sort of dizzy and nauseaous looking down at the pages or something. Can this be a morning sickness related occurrence? If so, it really is quite lame. I mean if you have to be a sickly at take it easy due to terrible morning sickness then one should at least be able to read while resting. I don't think it is too much to ask. At this rate I am going to have to start listening to books just to work my way through my plan to read list.
My plan to read list is daunting to say the least. I have over 200 titles according to my shelfari account. This list isn't getting any shorter at the moment either, in fact it is getting longer! I recently started watching The Vampire Diaries and now am interested in reading the books. This lead to me watching The Secret Circle today, a show based on another series by the same author. I have thus added this series to my list. Now I have not finished a book in almost 3 months and today my list grew by about 7 books. And that is only if I read the core of both series. Since the tv shows have gained popularity the author has started adding books to each.
Oddly I can't seem to follow books very well when listening to them unless I am in the car. When I am driving I can follow a book and keep characters straight as if I am actually reading it myself. However the one time I tried to listen to a book while knitting I kept forgetting what the last plot point was or forgetting who a certain character was without pausing to reflect. It became annoying and I gave up. I know it is possible though because tons of people do it. Maybe it is something I have to get used to. I have never been an auditory learner so that probably has something to do with it.
Either way. I want to read. Really. So I am going to go give it another shot. Since i just got sick now should be a fine time as I don't imagine I could get sick again so quickly.
