I really love knitting self striping socks. The color changes keep me knitting a bit longer each time I sit just to see the next color change happen and how it makes the sock grow. I'd knit a few pair of socks with my String Theory Colorworks yarns and realized that most of them were light colored and I wanted to cast on a darker colored pair.
Enter the colorway, Flourite:

For these I modified the Tramlines pattern, which is free on ravelry. I love simple patterns for self striping socks, ones that do not interfere with the stripe sequence and add just a hint of interest.
