Month of Socks: A Botany Sock

Another idea I had when approaching my month of socks, was making some single socks with smaller skeins in my stash.  This would give me the opportunity to use some old stash, to try a yarn I haven't tried before, to use up some leftovers or even a heel/toe skein I thought would be pretty as a whole sock.

I have a decent amount of Felici from Knit Picks in my stash and I did knit a few things with it so far and I really like the feel of the yarn when I am working with it as well as the softness of the finished object.  The dye transfer between stripes in one ball of a colorway is a little aggravating but in theory it won't be as noticeable once the knitting is finished and the sock is on my foot.  For this reason I knew I wanted to start using some of my individual stashed balls of Felici for single socks that I could just mix and match.

I decided on the Vanilla Bean pattern since I really enjoyed knitting it before and thought it would make for nice mix and match socks as I worked through some of the single skeins.  The first of this endeavor will be with the leftover Botany skein I used part of to make a hat for DS:
