Visiting Gainesville

Hi everyone! I read this nice article about a new bookstore and bar in Gainesville. A few of my friends have been there and say it is a nice place. The owner actually mentions knitters in this article. I made plans to visit on May 25th.

 I purchased a ravelry pin to wear.

I am notoriously tardy and it has gotten worse with the addition of children.  So, while I planned to be there at 6pm I did not actually arrive until about 6:45pm. 

 Let me show you the chronicles from my trip!

Ready to leave to head to Mayo, FL, where I met my cousin for the rest of the trip.

We went to the bead store so I could get eyes for the owls on my Hogwart's shawl.

I got this tube of size 6 beads in a pretty amber gold color which is just what I had in mind.

I made a variety of other stops, but the point of this post is to say what a nice place Broken Shelves is to visit, have a drink, and knit or read!

There I am working on my Fissility sock with quite a few other ravelers.  I had a splendid time and plan to go back.
