Let me say that watching Game of Thrones this season is making me want to knit a freaking caplet right NOW.  Here is a screen shot of Thoros of Myr wearing the capelet that makes me want one just like it:

Right? I asked DH if he would walk a few paces away from me if I made one just like that (ratty sort of) in public. He looked at me and asked if I was serious. Hmpf. I just know I could knock something like that out with some of my bulky acrylic, then when I got tired of it, DD could play with it for dress up.

You remember the pile of books from my last post?  Well, NONE of those have been finished!  But I have a plan.  I thought well I really should organize what I need to read so I can potentially meet my reading goal for the year. Which is something I was thinking about for the last couple of days. So, I went to my stack of books that are in progress, and made sure that they are on my “currently reading” shelf so that goodreads or shelfari or both can track my progress for the year. I only updated my internet tracking of the books I am “actively” (obviously I use that loosely) reading at the moment.

So, for my “game plan” to get some of these books finished.: I have moved the David Sedaris book to the bathroom to read when I am in there for a while and not hounded by children and husband. I have put the Sookie (All Together Dead) book next to the bed, so that I can possibly read it if I wake up and cannot fall right back to sleep, since I don’t have to be terribly focused to know who is who. I am familiar enough with the characters from reading the first 5 and watching the show (True Blood). I also really want to start chipping away at that series again, bit by bit, since the last book came out this month.  I have Watership Down by my chair and that one is priority one. I bring it if I go anywhere in the car, etc. Wuthering Heights is also right there, to follow Watership. The others on the goodreads shelf will be dealt with once those are done.  Here I am halfway through the year, with a goal of reading 13 novels, and nothing to show for it.  But I have a plan.  Hmph.

I signed up for Yarn Club again!  This 3 month club is centered around Alice in Wonderland.  The first month of club has arrived and is gorgeous, but I can't share that picture yet, not all of the international peeps have theirs (hi Carrie!)  I will instead show you a picture of my excitement about club:
