Hobbies of Yore, Part One:  Quilting

I enjoy quilting.  I like picking out the fabrics.  I love spools of thread in all sorts of colors.  I really love the sewing, not so much the pressing.  I think if I ever break down and buy a really nice steam iron I wouldn't mind the pressing so much.  I just do not have the space right now to leave the sewing machine set up and the toddlers would be able to get into entirely too much trouble if sewing paraphernalia were left out or if they were unsupervised while I am paying attention to making even seams.

These are fabric pieces I bought with the intention of making DD a crib quilt.  Yes, this was bought when she was in utero and still has the receipt attached.

These I bought because I wanted to make a quilted throw pillow.  I made some progress on this project before getting involved in ALL THE KNITTING.

I chose a Maple Leaf design.

I hope to get back to this one day.
